Senior Men came away from neighbours Teconnaught with the two league points and a decent run out into the bargain. With the hosts needing all the points they can get to stave off relegation, they certainly gave it their all. In a game that never got close to the excitement of the previous weeks IFC, Saul started with a number of changes to the line up and management can be pleased with the effort of the lads who gained the victory on the night. 22 scores on the night, most from play is always good, but shipping four goals is something that needs to be remembered.

U16 Boys played as well they have all season in beating Castlewellan in their second game in the championship. With some early dominance being converted into major scores, they made it difficult for the ‘Town’ to come back and restricted them to points, but the goals from Ruari O’Hare, Ronan Connor and Oistin Devlin meant a healthy lead at the break. In the second period another glut of scores including a fine goal from Philly Doran gave a comfortable lead that was never in doubt in spite of a couple of late goals against. Next up is a trip to Aughlisnafin this Thursday night, a real tough match ahead.

U11s travelled to Hollywood to play St Paul’s on Saturday and enjoyed a good win 6-09 to 1-02. With the great experience of the Craig Cup behind them, the boys certainly showed fantastic tenacity in the tackle and lovely passing that made it hard for the opposition to make any purposeful attacks. Well done lads. Next up is a home game with Loughinisland this Wednesday night.
